Visa Information:

How to Make a Successful Student Visa Application at the U.S. Embassy?

To improve your chances of receiving a student visa (F1) at the U.S. Embassy, you need to show the Visa Officer that you have good grades (B's or better), are financially capable (your bank statements or your parents' bank statements), and have strong ties to your home country. One consideration will be a review of the evidence of your strong ties to your home country. Strong ties are the various aspects of your life as bank statements, family relationships, job position, and real estate ownership, which can show that you are likely to return to your home country after the completion of your studies.

To apply to American English Academy, you will need to provide the following:

1- A copy of a bank statement or Affidavit of Support (Form I-134)

2. A Completed AEA application Form

6- Application Fee: $140

3. Two passport-size photos

7- SEVIS I-901 fee: $200

4. A copy of the front-page of your passport

8-  SEVIS I-901 processing fee: $20

5. A copy of your recent school transcript

9- FedEx, DHL charge: $50

For sponsors residing in a foreign country, please contact the US Embassy for an acceptable Form of the Affidavit of Support. For sponsors residing in the United States, a copy of the Affidavit of Support (Form I-134) can be downloading and print by visiting the USCIS website at http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/files/i-134.pdf.

Effective October 27, 2008, International students are required to pay a SEVIS I-901 fee of $200 prior to their interview at the US Embassy. Failure to pay this fee will result in delays to their F1 visa application.  To meet this requirement, you may either pay Online at http://www.ice.gov/graphics/sevis (Note: The SEVIS number on the student’s SEVIS I-20 is required) or you may pay $220 to the American English Academy. The $20 is a fee to American English Academy for processing your SEVIS I-901 application. Confirmation of the payment will be sent with your SEVIS I-20. Please note that the SEVIS I-901 fee is non-refundable.

Payment may be made by major credit card or by International Money Order payable in U.S. dollars to “American English Academy”. You can also wire the money by requesting our bank information.

After we have received the above documents with the Online Application Form, school documents with your SEVIS I-20 will be sent to you for your student visa application. If your Student (F1) visa application is approved or denied, please notify us immediately.
